We are glad to announce the release of our big upgrade for IP.Board 3.1.1. Since three weeks we are working day and night on upgrading our IPB skins to IPB 3.1.1. It's been long and we've worked a lot - and it was worth it. As you may know, we took this opportunity to rebuild the skins from scratch and that's why it took so long - it is like redesigning and recoding skins that originally took more than one year to be released. And we had to do this in two to three weeks. Quite a challenge!

(Real) Live Demos
Since a lot of people have requested (real) live demos, we decided to implement it on Skinbox - To see a skin live (for real), just go to any skin page and hit the big "LIVE DEMO" button or click here. The live preview is currently available for IP.Board skins only.

Price Modifications
Since a lot of work has been put in in order to make the skins perfect and with the addition of a lot of new features, we have decided to increase the price of all our IP.Board skins by $1. So a skin that used to cost $15 will cost $16, a skin that used to cost $16 will be $17, etc. We really hope you understand this decision.

We have also dropped the price of the Single Copyright Removal from $35 to $30 and the Global Copyright Removal from $199 to $99.

IPB 2 & vB 3 Skins End of Life
IP.Board 2.x skins and vBulletin 3.x styles are now End of Life (EOL). You can still access the files in your download box, but we simply do not sell or provide support for them anymore.

Skins Not Converted
Some of our IPB skins didn't made it for the upgrade. We have decided to End of Life several skins, either because we are working on a new version of them that will be released in the next few weeks, or simply for business reasons. The skins affected are:
  • Arcobaleno
  • Brillance
  • Fat
  • Pink Velvet
  • So Web 2.0
  • Shadow
  • Game Over (will be replaced with a new, better skin)
  • Vanille (will be replaced with a new, better skin)

If the skin(s) you have purchased is on that list, you are entitled to receive a new skin for free. To redeem your free skin, just go to your download box, click the "Learn More and Convert" button and follow the instructions.

Color Variation Series
Some changes have been done in both the Professionnal Series and the Velvet Series. We have decided to release all color variations in the same package. That means you don't have to buy three skins to have the three color variations anymore. So if you buy Velvet Blue, you will receive Velvet Green and Velvet Red for free. We have also made it so the Blue version of both series is the parent skin and the color variations, the children.

If you have purchased any color variations of both of these series, you are entitled to a 30% rebate on your next purchase. To redeem your coupon code, please contact us.

Please also note that color variations for Blood, Brave, Surface and other skins are not available anymore.

New Names
Some of our skins have been renamed. Some of the names was outdated, some was just not good enough. Here's the list:
  • Professionnal (Blue, Green, Red) becomes Elegant (Blue, Green, Red)
  • (Blue, Green, Red) Velvet becomes Velvet (Blue, Green, Red)
  • GFX becomes Source

New Features
All the skins now come with exclusive and awesome features. This includes a background switcher, a login lightbox, show / hide elements, a smooth "go to top" bottom link, a width changer, a tabbed skin, completely new navigations and much more. All products now also have new icons all over the skins. Please go through all of the skin descriptions below to learn more about these completely new features.

What's Next?
We will focus on remaking our vBulletin skins from scratch and release some of the brand new Skinground skins. We will also convert the free IPB skins to IPB 3.1.1 soon, don't worry.

If you are a Skinbox customer, the skins are available in your download box for immediate download.

Same question, though I think it is updated.

Surface now looks even better than Wirlpool!

EDIT: Background download on Mystic isn't working.

EDIT: Nevermind.

Good job, Olivier. Can you please install the skin on our board so we can start working on it? I've sent you a PM regarding the upgrade.

Is something wrong with the Velvet skins on the test board? It's stretching to the full width of the window, unlike the preview image on its page on your site. This is in both Safari 5 and Firefox 3 on Mac.

1280x800.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be so blunt! The skins are all looking FANTASTIC! Velvet is just one of the ones I'm considering purchasing, so I want to make sure it works first xD

Thanks for the great release :)

Just wondering if it should be like this:
I am using the Warrior skin and have selected the Assassin's Creed background (tried others as well) and whenever I am loading a new page, the background is set to Socom by default, and then at the end of loading jumps to the one that I had selected.

I'm afraid I don't have a fix for that. :/

The background is set to the user-chosen skin with javascript. That means it first loads the default background (the one set in css) and once the page is fully loaded, it changes it to the user choice. What you can do is editing the skin css to set the default background to Assassin's Creed if most of your users will use it, or simply remove the default background and set a color instead. It won't make the background appear instantly, but instead of viewing Socom's background while the page is loading, you will just have the color.

Start a topic in the support section if you want some more help on it, and Olivier will get back to you.
