I've used all of the main forum software and vbulletin is the best so far, IPB still looks and feels dated and slow..

I like vBulletin most or maybe I dislike IP.Board most, who knows! Both can suck in many areas...

Both are viable options how ever it is dependent on a few key factors that you want suited to your own website :)

IPB all the way. vB is losing its grip and is actually starting to fall behind even the few good free forum softwares such as SMF and even PHPBB. IPB is constantly keeping up with modern traditions and i wouldnt use any other forum software. Plus IPB has the best skins.... :lol:

lol really?.. IPB is way faster than vB. And much more functional.... :blink:

vBulletin for the following reasons:
-SEO
-Modifications
-Styling (Stylevars, Conditions, Variables, etc..)
-Support
