I would like to upgrade to the newest version to IPB, however; do not want to lose all of my customizations I made to the current Warrior Theme. Is there a way a) to keep the customizations or view a list of customizations made for reference?

If you want to see a list of changes, you can generate a template merge report (under the Look & Feel tab). It'll generate a file which shows you what to add (in green), and what to remove (in red).

It says "The merge tool is not available as you have no previously stored templates" ... how do I fix this?

You need to upgrade to 3.2.3 first, then run the tool.
