Hey guys, I've left you a message but haven't got a reply yet. I just noticed this pre-sales area so thought I'd ask here in hopes to get an answer faster.

I'm dying here trying to find somebody to make me a custom skin for a website that is way overdue to launch. I never would have dreamed the bad timing with the update of 3.2 or whatever coming out for the skin makers.

If I purchase a custom skin via your site then how long can I expect to wait before you get started on design? Am I gonna have to wait for 100 people in front of me for custom skins plus 100 of your own skins to get updated 1st or have you worked custom skin purchases into your workflow? I totally understand how crazy busy everybody is and I don't expect to be pushed ahead of others who have waited but I'm just curious of how you've setup your customer workflow incase there is hope for me somewhere...

Thanks!

The staff can give you a 100% answer but olivier and sebestian do not make custom skins they hire people to do it, so the custom skin makers do not have to worry about upgrading stock skins

Thanks for the reply...

I guess the only thing I'm scared of about that is if they are any good? I think whoever does the skins I see here on skinbox is good but does anybody know if there is a portfolio site of the custom ones or something?

It's also weird that the terms of service that you have to agree to don't say the same thing as the FAQ. For instance in reference to Live demo's. Faq says yes but terms say no.

Thanks for any additional answers on this...

Hmm... I still haven't got another response here or one at all from my email to them originally. I'm afraid to pay for something that says it has a week and a half turn around time if that's how long it takes just to get an email returned :(

To be honest right now is not the time to be asking about a custom skin as the main person in charge here is busy upgrading all current premade skins to work with IP.Board 3.2 I would ask again when all that mess is over. I am sure you will be happy with a custom skin from here. I will say that someone from the staff should have said something by now, but again alot of work is being done to upgrade current premade skins.

While I understand how much pressure they must be under and how hard they are working... they should have a statement in regards to delays on the custom skin order form or even an auto email reply stating how long customers should expect to wait to hear from them. Just ignoring emails completely without any indication of anything is kinda lame.

I have people depending on me to get this done and I can't get an email returned or time frame from both decent custom skin makers that I've tried. It's so frustrating.

The worse part is that the founder has answered other posts in the pre-sales area but skips mine?

Yea the customer support here is pretty bad. Not sure if its like this all the time or if its just because of the 3.2 upgrading. They barely even give all the customers updates on when the skins we purchased will be updated so I wouldn't count on a response from them. Maybe try somewhere else

I honestly can't find anywhere else. It's only skinbox or ipbforumskins. Others aren't taking anybody in 2011 or just aren't any good. At least of the ones I've found : (

this time I tried actually placing an order (since it doesn't require a deposit instantly to do so). So we'll see if that gets me any reply...
