We are using the IPB 3.2 Final and would like to know when skinbox will make the Elegant Skin available. Thank you.

I would say to give them time also I wouldn't upgrade untill atleast version 3.2.1 as 3.2.0 will have bugs.

We will upgrade all the skins to 3.2.0. We are working on a schedule, so that you know what's happening behind the scenes, and what to expect.

Now 3 weeks later, IPB 3.2.1 has been released, but no compatible skins, no schedule.

4 months later and still can not update our forum because the elegant upgrade on our test site is so buggy. And to see a donation banner across the skinbox forum only adds insult to injury.

With all due respect, you realize that Sebastien is only one person, right? It has already been stated that Elegant will be re-coded. When? We don't know. I do realize it's a sore subject with some who have been waiting for a long time to receive the upgraded skin. Still, there are a few things to keep in mind:

Since IPB 3 came out, there have been tons of new features added to the software - features which were great for users but often caused (and continue to cause) skin designers, a major headache. I remember when I was skinning for IPB 2, when a new skin could be whipped out in a couple of days and an update would take a few hours, max. Alas, these times are over. IPS is spitting out product upgrades every few months, and sometimes weeks. How can anyone possibly keep up with that? Surely not an easy feat, considering most skinning designers have other jobs, families, school, etc.

Furthermore - not only do skin updates take longer nowadays, but sometimes, a designer has to re-code the whole skin from scratch, which is like creating a brand new skin. It makes me, the customer wonder, whether charging $20-$30 bucks a skin is worth it to the designer, because frankly, I can see myself sitting at the computer 8-12 hrs a day, coding and re-coding skins, but I cannot see myself making ends meet by selling a $25 skin every now and then. This is an unsteady, unforgiving business, which does NOT guarantee income. I fail to see how asking for donations in appreciation of all that hard work, is insulting.

Please - a little more patience, and you will have your product. I am sure the Staff will inform of any delays, and if push comes to shove - you could always drop Sebastien a PM.

It is out or it was out but buggy... they said that it will be recoded and it will be out once it is ready (IPS's saying)
