Hello, i just wanted to say i LOVE the Viril skin and i'm thinking about buying it,
but there's just one problem i'm concerned about. In the preview image on skinbox
it looks amazing, but when i try to preview it myself on the demo page it looks weird.

This is what it's supposed to be:

This is what it looks like for me:

And when hovering over the menu bar it becomes transparent?
(But also a piece of it still stays non-transparent...)

Why is it like this? I'm using the Chrome Browser

=====================================EDIT========================================

It seems like Chrome for Windows has this problem, i have fixed it by downloading
an update for chrome from their Dev channel. If you are a member or holder of this
skin, please update your Google Chrome browser (Click Here) and this is the result:

This bug has been reported - I am not too sure why it does that either. It is also hard because I am on a Mac and the skin displays perfectly in Chrome. I can't test it on Windows right now. I will investigate.

I get the same with Firefox. Is this skin using the same css to resize the skin according to screen resolution like the blue velvet skin?

If it is I would think that is the problem. I have resolution at 1920x1200, but, I never have my browser set to full size. You need to get away from that type of resizing if that's what you're doing. I am sure I am not the only one that will have a browser window smaller than full screen on a wide screen monitor. I do this so I can keep area to the right open for other apps that I need for work.

This also happens on my Mac also. Oliver just resize your browser on your screen to to a smaller size and you'll see the same thing.

That's not the same problem as mentioned in the first post of this topic though... the skin will look fine for 1024 and higher.

This skin is truly amazing and I really would like it to work so my community can enjoy it but I seem to be getting more errors than the OP. Clicking on "Recent Status Updates" or anything in the box doesn't work. The drop down menu persists and will not go away regardless of where I click or what page I'm viewing. Lastly, I can't collapse the box when I click on "Collapse". I am using the latest version of Firefox on Windows 7. I have confirmed with one of my admins that he also gets the same problem. I know this isn't the place for me to ask for assistance but I thought I would provide some further customer feedback. Hopefully everything will be fixed soon. = )

It's doing the same for me. It might look fine at 1024 if that is what your screen res is set at. I have my browser set to mimic 1024, but, my screen resolution is 1920x1200. Therefore this skin looks just like the second image in this thread.

Just to be sure you understand what I mean here is a screenshot of my full desktop. Resolution is set to 1920x1200.

As you can see I don't have my browser in full size mode so I can use the real estate at each side of the browser windows. Just like with blue velvet this skin does not render correctly for people that do as I do.

Raven, please give me access to your skin. It is probably related to some javascript added by one of the hooks - I must see in order to do something.

Thank you!

I'm not seeing the re-size issue, but the corners don't look correct in Chrome for me. I'd like to see some of the fonts and spacing a bit more streamlined.

Very nice skin though.

Hmm, yes this is a weird issue. Hope it gets fixed. (I tested from both the live site itself & the iframe, same results).

Oh well, the music u put under the skin demo video fixes alot already. Bon Jovi!

~ Have a nice day :)

I fixed my issues with the skin width. Just find 1200px minimum width and change it to something lower. I set mine at 1084 which seeme to be standard for many viewers that aren't on smartphones. I also set the wrapper width to 95% instead of 100%.

I too am having problems, the hooks box whenever a hook is clicked on collapses and doesn't show the links. When a link in recent topics is clicked on from a forum post it comes up with a copy and paste box and the background changer isn't working. In Internet Explorer it is almost unusable due to javascript errors. Please help.

Not sure if i should post this here or If I should of started a new topic.

I like this skin and will more than likely get it when most of the bugs are fixed, however is there a way to put the following back at the bottom rather than a popup?

After doing some investigation, this seems to be an issue with Google Chrome. More info here.

It says it's fixed in the most recent Canary build.

Yes, it's possible - you would have to edit the boardIndexTemplate in the ACP and put back the old IPB default skin's code.

To fix the "big space" bug:

Go to boardIndexTemplate, find and REMOVE:
			<!--<foreach loop="side_blocks:$side_blocks as $block">
				{$block}
			</foreach>-->

Have you tried this? (If not, can you? so you can see what I'm referring to) It don't work very well. It placed the hooks back on the side also leaving the expandable box, so now you have the same hooks displayed twice. It does add the stats back at the bottom though, but also adds a big space of nothing when doing so.

I then saw your post about disabling popups in the features.ini and got excited thinking this would do what I want. It didn't, and it completely disabled the ability to see any stats at all and you can't even change the language or skin without it.

So back the original question, is there a WORKING way to add the stats back at the bottom without adding the hooks to the right as well? :)

Just in case, I'm using Firefox 4 Beta 10.

I do enjoy your skins, and appreciate all the work that goes into them. I think you guys make some of the best looking skins along with features, keep it up!
