@cms: What if your skin for IPB was discontinued. That's why I speak in general terms. I know people choosing vB is going into the most obvious trap ever, but choosing IPB (like I am) doesn't secure our skins either. Olivier can say "I'm going to discontinue Brave for both vB and IPB" at any time. Then we're in the same situation as these vB guys, so please think over this. If Olivier don't bring Brave (or any other skin) to IPB4 (in future), you might want to hire a coder to do the upgrade... so again, think about it :)

I have thought about it. If I had a situation like VB has I would just move on. Even if they made the next version for VB the VB users would still be crying for another version after that and so on. Where does it stop? I use Brave for IPB, if Olivier refused to upgrade that or skipped out, there are other designs I like from others. Logos should be able to be transferred easily to another design. If not you designed a logo that is useless. You can justify breaking the license anyway you want or twist it anyway to make yourselves believe it's right/legal, it's not. Move on/get over it.

How can you say it's not legal when we're allowed to modify the product as much as we want, and when Sebastien has made it clear it's allowed. YOU MOVE ON! ...

@Olivier & @ørret:
Well, there must have been some misunderstanding here. I made sure everything was okay with Suprastan. He is taking custom jobs, ensuring customers do own the skin before actually doing the job. No redistribution, etc.

@cms: What part of this did you not understand? I'll gladly ANALYSE this post for you and sent you a report, including "abstract" if you don't want to read the whole report. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year cms!

You're crying over a 20.00 skin and want to commit an illegal act over 20.00? LOL... All you had to do is read the license and terms page. It's really that simple. You shouldn't of purchased the skin unless "YOU" could modify it! Apparently you can't and that is no ones fault but your own. Maybe you shouldn't of bought a crap software that designers and users have jumped off the boat from in mass numbers either..

There are just as many people moving from the likes os IPB, SMF & PHBB etc, so the same could be said of all forum based software..

As you've already stated you have no interest as you're not a customer who paid for a vBulletin skin in good faith and were told that the skin you purchased would be kept upto date.. Therefore your comments are not wanted or needed here! Go run your site, or make yourself busy elsewhere!

It also has nothing to do with the cost of the skin, whether the skin was $20 or $200, its actually about being lied to and mislead about updates by the owners of this site.

As for your comments of vbulletin being crap, well that just shows you as yet another blinkered IPB fanboy that doesn't know shit about good software!! Vbulletin may not be as good as it was, but it's sure a hell of a lot better that the likes of IPB, Even wordpress and SMF, which are both free scripts run rings around IPB which has a $150 licence that includes support for just six months! and then you pay a recurring monthly fee if you want to continue getting support for your site!! And dont get me started on IPB plugins / mods compared to those of Wordpress or Vbulletin, Go peddle your interferring fanboy crap elsewhere!

Alright. We will stop there. Everything has been made clear. You can hire Suprastan or anyone if you own the skin. Redistribution is not allowed and Skinbox retains the full copyright of the skin itself (which means our copyright has to remain intact unless you bought the copyright removal for your skin).

If anyone has a question, feel free to send me a PM. This thread will not lead anywhere; I close it.
