We are pleased to announce that all our IP.Board skins are now fully compatible with IPB 3.1.2 and are available for immediate download in your download area. The current version of all our IPB skins is now version 2.1.0.

Please note that Orb, our free IPB skin has also been updated and is now compatible with 3.1.2 as well.

What's New?
We have removed our "copyright box" from all the skins. Some skins still have the box, but there is no Skinbox links in them - the credit boxes left are for skin credits only. That means our branding now contains three links less than before. Remember that you can purchase the Copyright Removal at any time (through your download box) for as low as $30.

We have also added a new dropdown menu to the Surface skin in the user navigation area.

Bug Fixes
In addition to make the skins fully compatible with IP.Board 3.1.2, we have fixed several bugs in the skins listed below:

Global Issues

Velvet

Elegant

Brave

Surface

Blood

As usual, you can view live demos of our skins here.

All archives updated to support official addons. For some reasons the IP.Board updater didn't upgrade the addons the first time. You just have to reinstall the skin and copy/paste the CSS code of ipb_blog.css from the new package.

But the time doesn't make them not downloadable...

Yo, this is DancingFighterG. There are still some problems with the velvet skins. Take a look here

http://nvgaonline.co...ex.php?act=home

Go to the bottom and select Velvet (Green) and you will see what I am talking about.

If you are a guest then there is a problem with listing all the nvga chapters on the dropdown

If you are logged in there is mis-alignments all over the top page menus

yes it does...because how the hell are we supposed to know it's the actual updated versions? Apart from the last updated date part of the website there's nothing that suggests it has been updated.

The zip is named the same every time there's an update, and all the files look the same. Maybe the zips should be titled skin-<name>-<version>.zip to avoid confusion.

I understand and this will be added in Skinbox 2. However that still doesn't make the archives not downloadable.

If you were to read these announcements, you would know if the skins are up to date, I think thats why this area of the website was created to inform about updates and fixes! If something changed in the download file since the announcement, Im sure Olivier or a member of staff would have notified us lol!!

I hope it takes 6 months till next IPB upgrade. It is bad for both skinners and customers to update each f*ing day. Excuse my language.

I agree on that! Im starting a new site with IPB and hopefully I can keep 3.1.2 without having to redo it all again! Lets hope theres no significant updates for a little while anyways!!

I actually agree with this, as much as I love new updates I hate re-doing edits and stuff, same with skins, as much as I love Oliver's skin, I don't want to have to re-do the edits, and I've never used the IPB skin merger, and I dont want to break something lol.

@Oliver: How do I find out what version of skin I currently have on my site?

There is no way to tell really... I would just see the skin and usually know what version it is. We will implement the version number somewhere in the near future though. :)

Is there any way to get just the edits posted for above? I have the 3.1.1 (2.0.0) Blood skin, but have done a number of my own edits and mods. Getting the edits will probably be the easiest way to upgrade? There needs to be an easy way to upgrade skins for us that like to do our own mods to skins. :)

Unfortunately we are not able to provide this information for now. This is planned for Skinbox 2.0. I recommend to reinstall the skin though as version 2.0.0 is now a little bit old - we had version 2.0.1 and 2.1.0 (current) since then.

thing is...even after reading this announcement, downloading the files looked EXACTLY the same as downloading the files BEFORE they were updated according to the announcement. Since the download page and files had no changes to the dates...it implied that the staff may have "forgotten" to update the skin and still released an announcement anyway.

Tbh, I thought the last updated date/time was automated and therefore should have been automatically updated.

Anyways, thanks Seb and Oli :P

They were automated, I'm not sure why they aren't anymore. Only Sebastien-the-God will be able to inform us!

That's because we upload the skins by ftp now. We used to upload them through our web interface but for massive upgrades like that, it's quicker to use the ftp directly. But the ftp doesn't update the last updated time/date. So I must do it manually.
